Hey Guys. I'm thinking about getting a Business Card through Discover to help keep track of my expenses. Do you guys use a dedicated credit card for your business? If so, which one and why? What are the benefits? Please share! :D

I use one personal card for my business. Its a citi card. It came with a crazy 36 month 0% APR, gives benefits for extended coverage on gear and other stuff, discounts for a lot of stuff I wont use. I just use it to keep track of expenses. Its easy if its all on one card.

No, I think I have about $1,300 on the card. Its the remainder of the 24-70 and a Mettle strobe I think? I hate owing CC money. My only real debt is my mortgage and some student loans. I have been working the credit card companies for years to slowly increase my credit limits on cards and this card has a 35,000 limit. Peace of mind....just in case...

Unless things have changed since I last looked for a card, I would avoid Discover. They are (were ) not accepted at many places I shop.
At the very least, before committing to a Discover card, ask around at the common vendors and see if they accept Discover.
I now use Citi.

I use my Discover card (personal one) almost every where I go now. I think almost everyone accepts it now.

It *was* Amex for a lot of years but now it's a Capital One card for the ease of use of the rewards program.

No credit cards here....always pay cash or don't buy.

Living like no one else thanks to DR.

That's a prudent plan.

I've never carried a balance (probably from my days with Amex) but find the convenience of using a card for virtually everything almost second nature...

...so much so that if I do pay for something with cash, I almost expect to be asked for 2 forms of I.D.

I rarely carry cash around. Only a couple of bucks for food or something.

I use a personal credit card that I dedicate to business use for tracking. Business card don't offer the same level of protection as personal cards too.

Oh yea? I would imagine it'd be the same. What card do you have?

I thought it was the opposite. Personal cards generally offer more incentives than business.

I use a Capital One personal card. If you read up on the CARD act, it goes over the differences. Unless you are a corporation, you are personally liable for balances anyways, so I chose to protect myself with a personal card rather than a business card. There are advantages and disadvantages of both. Up to you to decide.
