Anyone going to El Centro this year? I am not going to this show this year. I am up in Santa Barbara for work and do not feel like driving from OC on Friday night to El Centro. One thing I do not like about this show is the how far the box is from the viewing area. You need a 600mm+ lens to get good captures of the civilian performers. One thing I do love is how the Blues taxi in and out there. Also, for the last couple of years, the Blues will line up and salute the crowd after their performance.

I would like to go, but with my busy work schedule, I'm not sure if I can make it.

When you say the box, do you mean special box seating? And with the buget cuts, I'm not sure the BAs will be there. Or any show at all.

My dream is to attend the El Centro Photocall. But I don't have the connections to get in.

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.
When you see my photos you'll know that I'm not.

The box is the flying box. The box that the performers perform within. There is no special connections to go. Check out Fence Check sometime or belong to SoCal AP I believe it is.
