So I've been thinking, which some may describe as a dangerous activity on my part ;), and I think the mods, all of whom work very hard to keep this place the awesome forum that it is, deserve some perks.

Off the top of my head, I can only think of one, and I really don't think any reasonable person could possibly object to it.

I've recently seen a few mods list items for sale. Obviously their credibility speaks for itself. That goes without saying.

However, while maybe not a sticky (because no one reads them anyway), but their for sale threads should stay at the top of the list, at least for a while, perhaps a week.

I think it's a small token that they deserve. If anyone can come up with something else, please do.

How about donating 1% of your income to each of us?

Actually the mods receive their fair share of schmoozing, this thread is one example. If mods hated their thankless, payless job they could move on. No reason at all to offer more perks imo

CDS makes it sound great, but consider the following:

Its a time share, that means sharing, and have you ever tried to share a bathroom with Skip?
It's a Prius? Who actually wants to drive a Prius, and I don't anyone who actually likes starbucks coffee.
The Exec washroom is nice, when you can get in before Pekka.

You just disqualified yourself. If you want to be a Mod, you're clearly unsuited to be one. The selection process consists of Pekka sending out one of his crack reindeer selection teams, who then harness and chain the new Mod-designate to a keyboard in front of a browser locked to POTN, from which they are only released to use the aforementioned "amenities". With 22 Mods competing for use of the resources, you can see that neither the use of the Prius (which isn't amphibious) nor of the Timeshare is exactly a "luxury".

Now "this" sounds like a plan. It would help us keep fuel in the Prius.

Yeah. We still haven't figured out how he managed to escape . . . Obviously he's hoping that by providing fresh fodder, his grave transgression will be overlooked, if not forgiven.

Jon,

Are you saying, now that CDS is retired, he does not have access to any of the luxurious he once enjoyed? Gasp!

Yeah. He's really missing the 24x7 POTN Channel we still get. Right.
