So, this is a follow-up to a question that I had asked in the 'Sports Talk' area regarding whether or not you could bring a 400 2.8 into a Spring Training baseball game... Well it turns out that you can! (at least at the O's Ed Smith Stadium). They eyed my small monopod for a second, but had no problem with the lens.
This isn't the most interesting set. Due to peoples heads in the way, I only had a clear view of home plate from my seat for a couple batters. I also had to keep a low profile since it was a packed crowd and I didn't want to block anyone's view, so it was tough to follow any real action on the field. I couldn't shoot with my hood on and was shooting mostly backlit, so the sun was killing my contrast and I was also blowing my highlights left and right... All in all though, it was a fun day out at the park. This was the first time I had shot with a recently purchased 400 2.8 IS, and I was loving it. I had the 2x III extender on for a good portion of the game and also was very pleased. I'm heading to a O's vs Boston game tomorrow to hopefully get some more.

4 You can't see his face, so this normally would be a throw-away... But since I only had 2 or three chances to shoot batters (and no baseball set would be complete without a couple hitting pics), it got included.

7&8 And the last two aren't that interesting, but they are of my boy Ryan Flaherty, who grew up and played ball in my hometown of Portland, Maine
