ok so wasnt sure where to put this..
anyway my kids are in sports and i have taken pics of them and really enjoy the shots and games...
so now there is a deck hockey tournament coming up and the president on the board is a good friend..
he said that he would like me to come by and take picture of the games and sell them. of course they want a cut.
so I was thinking of starting up my own side business but never really got around to it.(long story why).
anyway since he is giving me approval and it is on private land he said I will not need a vendor license.
If I take pictures, process them and print on site - no issue.
My only concern is if I print on site but also give a link to say zenfolio where they can purchase mugs, prints and other things, will I need the parents written consent to have those pics on zenfolio with out the page locked with a password?
This was brought up with a guy I work with. He said for cub scouts he had to have written permission from each and every parent if they were going to post the kids photos to the cub scout site they had. So can anyone explain if this is true or where I would have to go to verify this?
Also if the hockey board put a clause on their website, would that override that need?
I see a lot of photos on zenfolio of sports teams so not sure if this is something I only worry about if a parent contacts me that I need to take it down or at that time let them know I can password protect it for their team and parents.
thanks for your input.
