Spectacular set Harv. I don't envy the snow but it does make for some beautiful bird photography. I hope you've been well my friend. Thanks for sharing these great shots.

Wow that is amazing. When you say you discover a location of a bird, do you say find the location of the nest or say a recent spotting of the bird and just got to that general location and look for it? I see these are taken from two different locations and 2 different perches, i'm wondering if he allowed you sneaking around or did you just wait for a very long time to get these shots. Anyways thanks for posting!

WOW, that second shot. The color of the Great Gray, the color of the branches, the background and the snow. It really just comes together. Please post more.

Love the first one. Something about the side view of the bird and the head turned towards you. I agree with everyone else though, the snow makes it gorgeous.

:)

Thanks so much, everyone, for all the great comments. Rest assured I appreciate them very much.

I've been out shooting all weekend and this is the first opportunity I've had to respond to your posts. I have more GGO images to process and am in the midst of them now. I'll probably get some posted up tomorrow.

Once again... thanks very much.

:)

Unfortunately, Andrew, it's not going to happen.

To suit posting on my home forum (pixel-shooter.net), I size my images at 1200 pixels on the long side. That size is not allowed here and I am not going to re-size all my images and make a second set to post here.

If anyone wants to see them, they will have to look at them on my SmugMug site.....

Thanks, Don. Yep, it has been cold the last few days. Around minus 7 to minus 9, but will warm up starting tomorrow.
