Hey guys, I am looking for a messenger bag that will hold a body, two or three extra lenses, and a MacBook Air/Retina Pro. Wat do?

How about a Timbuk2 Snoop messenger bag? Comes in a few different sizes, and made by a company that does a decent messenger bag.

Don't get one of the Patagonia bags. I've got one, terrible strap - the thing slides all over the place.

I highly recommend the Tenba messenger bag. It comes in 3 sizes and 7 colors. I have 3 of them and can attest to the quality and durability.

Vanguard 38 upright. On sale for $54.99 in this weeks Frys ad. BH sells for $95.

Nice construction, great price.

Mine easily holds the 6D with 24-105 or 70-300 L attached, the other one not attached, nifty-fifty, shorty-forty, 580EX, and has a sleeve for a laptop.

After looking at many different brands and types this weekend, I must agree that the Tenba's mentioned above are hard to beat. I have a small Tenba messenger, and just picked up a Tenba Discovery mini.

I'm using a pro messenger by Lowepro, which is not that popular in all Lowepro's models, but extremely good. Only one downside is the dividers are not thick enough for me. But you can buy some knock-offs from ebay I guess

+1
It looks good (and not like it has camera gear in it), and holds a lot in a convenient layout.

Thanks for this. I've been looking at this bag and waiting for a sale or coupon. I could not resist the price...

+2, I can't say enough about mine, durable, easy access and plenty of room, I carry a body and 4 lenses, two flashes, several accessories.

Billingham...my experience is limited. There is another thread here with great participation.

edit: here's a link
https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=204695

I have a Billingham Hadley Pro. I carry my dslr, a Nikon d300s without grip. 18-200vr mounted, and 70-300vr in one lens silo. If the grip is on the camera the bag bulges and the top flap only covers a portion of the camera....my iPad fits within the bag nicely. Some laptops might fit...

Cost was comparable to the think tank retro 10 I had before.

http://rangefinderstore.com …6/billingham-canvas-bags/ (external link)

I bought both my bags from this store. Owner is a professional photographer who I respect. This is the smaller bag line. Next step up? 107/207/307--look for Doc Keplers comparison in the thread I gave
