Shot about 20 kids on this BMX racing team, Team Storm. Your thoughts?

Very cool, I would push the lightning to a color and bump its luminosity also. My thoughts are either an electric blue or a bright yellow. Just a little bit, not too much. Also I would lower the clarity of the skin. Just enough to smooth it out but retain some roughness, like the scars on his cheek (image left) that are pronounced in the black and white.

Nice work. Only thing for me, is it looks a little strange that the left handlebar just disappears

I agree, the left handlebar missing is a bit troublesome. Really great otherwise. Used to race BMX in the day. Good times!

Just a side note...I love seeing real BMX bikes, not freestyle bikes but real race bikes! Good job! : )

Thanks for the comments everyone. I will fix the handlebar. Probably reduce the size of the b/w, reposition, fade in the handlebar.
