Great shots, love doing that effect, what were your settings and what macro lens did you use. (If I may ask)

Sure Canon 7D w/Canon 100mm 2.8 f18 1/250sec 100ISO 580EXII master with the 430EX as the slave. Always happy to share information so please ask anything about my work you want an answer to.

Lovely set! like the colors!

Something captured my attention on your pics : why the oil drops aren't round? I have done this sometime ago and the drops were almost "perfectly" round! Do you think it have something to do with the oil I/you used? I used cooking oil! What type of oil did you used?

There is a certain magic to this sort of photography. Something about the range of colors and the natural rendering of the forms. Good capture.

When the bubbles are really tight on each other they push them out of shape. Yours are round because there are fewer of them and they're not pushing up against each other.

Thank you, your images are great as well! Mr ipsum is correct, I was using baby oil in a small water glass and had it packed with drops. I was then gently blowing on the surface to change up the patterns and shapes.

Thank you and I have to agree totally. When I came across other peoples pictures I was so "wowed" that I just had to try it. I plan on doing it again, it was a lot of fun and defiantly a learning experience.
