Cute little devils! This one is a noisy ISO 800 shot from Dublin Zoo last Saturday. I've just done some levels work to brighten it up.

I see a slight decrease in noise? What did you do and what were the settings? I'm still trying to get to grips with Noise Ninja plug-in.

download the noise ninja profile for your camera. then just load them for the iso you used.

I also adjusted shadows slightly, saturation, contrast. didn't jot down the settings, but this is to taste anyway.

Thanks for the tip! I've downloaded the profile and installed it. Zoombrowser doesn't appear to save the EXIF in the TIFF so I've reconverted in PS (it's better for keeping the ratio when cropping anyway).

I've cropped a little closer and repeated some of your steps. I think I've brough out the canine shape of the face a bit more:
