Matt the figure competitor

A buddy of mine decided he'd compete and at the last minute asked for a few photos the day before the competition since his fiancee did the same for him before her last competition. Shot these down at La Jolla cove. Downloaded a bunch of new presets tonight. Never used presets before but I figured I'd try a few out. There is no processing done besides applying presets, so I'm curious as to how many of you just apply a preset and accept it as a finished product. At this point I do think there are changes I'd still make but honestly I'm gonna let him have some say in what he wants done. I've spent enough time talking. Ladies and guys-- if that's your thing-- enjoy.

Nice work, and great lighting. You've done a super job of capturing the physique. Good job by the subject as well, and all the shots look pretty natural. Only thing I see are unlevel horizons in first and last pics.

Good eye! I didn't even notice. I'll have to see if I can fix that. That kind of stuff usually bothers me. Can't believe I didn't see that!
