Early starts to avoid unwanted attention. I'm running out of time to photograph this iconic rollercoaster.A beautiful clear night. Thank you for looking.

The first one is beautiful! I love the contrast of lights and darkness. It has an apocalyptic feel to it.

1st one was good, but you cut off the right edge of the coaster! How lucky you are to have the chance to shoot such an awesome, and probably temporary landmark! I would love to see more at golden hour.

It doesnt have long left.. They're taking the pier out, and then it goes.

Is the beach and/or area off limits? The unwanted attention part strikes me as odd, especially as photos of the roller coaster seem to be the post card for assistance coming into the area.

I had thought I'd already seen the last photos of it, glad to see the flag is still flying high.

Awesome shots, thanks for posting.
I grew up there and spent many days on the pier and several turns on that coaster from grade school through high school. Unbelievable to see what the entire area looks like now.

Isn't this where we brag about our gear? I have a super hot wife, a really cool dog, lots of bikes, oh and some overly expensive camera gear.

Thanks, all... Motor on, yes-it's off limits to varying degrees, depending on time of day and which cops roll up on you. Either way, to get to it, you have to cross alot of police tape.
