Okay, so I've changed my mind on the second body. I'm going to do a 5DIII instead of the 70D. If I decide to get the 70D, I'll just sell the 60D and replace it.

LOL yeah. I know I'll love it. And, having both a crop and FF will keep me pretty satisfied. It's just the glass that's gonna kill me haha. Note, to self: Buy furniture. Do NOT buy gear, first.

I know the 135L is really hard to beat but if you remember these shots, these are all from my 70-200 and i'm happy with it. With good lighting and technique, it's not bad i guess.

70-200 shots(please allow me to post these pics again)

That a tough one Vinz the 100l is a great lens I do use it a lot, I even shot a sports day with it and it focused fast enough. As you have the 70-200 to cover your 135 it could be a good move the only thing is the 135l is f2 and it does have a certain look to it.
But when you want detail shots the 100l steps right up there you won't be disappointed. Wish I lived in Cali then we could share the two lenses

Get a set of extension tubes; Kenko is probably the optimal combination of price and functionality, as it provides AF and aperture controls for less than Canon's do. You can get a set of 12/20/36 mm tubes (which will get you past 1:1) for around $200 at a reliable dealer. Inexpensive tubes may not have all the contacts to allow AF or auto-aperture control, and you'll either go crazy trying to make things work or forget to do something and blow the shot.

Str0ntium wrote in post #16133156 (external link)
I've read a review of the Vello extension tube set and seems they are quite comparable to the Kenkos if not a little more stiff. They cost quite a bit less, as well. Having used their wireless release, I'm so-far impressed with the brand. I might just get those instead of the Kenkos when I get around to replacing the /cringe/ stolen set.

Is this what you guys were talking about?

Zeikos: http://www.bhphotovideo.com …Macro_Extension_Tube.html (external link)

Vello: http://www.bhphotovideo.com …_auto_focus_ext_tube.html (external link)

Kenko: http://www.bhphotovideo.com …o_Extension_Tube_Set.html (external link)

^ so I'm assuming Kenko is the best?

There's nothing wrong with not having a 135L...honestly it's all user preference in the end. I like the 135L also because it's lighter to carry around than the 70-200. I'm keeping both though, I'm a crazy portrait person now and own a lot of the higher range lenses. In the future when I do move out! I see a beautiful 600L soon. xD

the legs can be extended to about a couple of inches more but i didn't so the center column/suction cup reaches the table to hold on.

the pics i showed is a worst case scenario, i would not do that if the suction is not properly engage. but for smaller camera and lens, i guess you wo't have problem at all.

I have the Zeikos which suit my needs but you may as well $20 more for the metal mounts of Vello, just saying

I only have experience with the Kenkos. They are top notch quality, for the price, so I don't see any reason to pay the extra for Canon's versions.

Vello just seems to be another alternative that is much less costly than the Kenkos. I'm on the fence about trying the Vellos. I might just try to snag a second-hand set of Kenkos since I'm already convinced of their quality.

the zoom versatility wins for me over the 135L. One time i was shooting with the 70-200 then i decided to changed to the 135 but then i had to put back the 70-200 because of versatility.

regarding the weight, yes it's heavy but i'm not having portrait gigs everyday anyway.

the 100L is 1.38lbs and the 135L is 1.7lbs so i guess the 100mm for a walkaround general purpose with the ability to shoot macro and portrait is a big advantage. again, IMO only.

Thought I had some toy pictures somewhere.

Nice. If Legos weren't so freaking expensive I would likely own way to many of them.

str0 that sounds like a good idea actually. I found Kenkos new from China for $150 shipped but 2nd hand Kenkos here are like $120-140. I tried to look up Vello but not many people have them either on here.

Yeah that's why you shouldn't worry about what others think anyways. Do what fits your situation and shooting style. I can't come to give up all my L's so I keep them and buy more anyways. Maybe I'm a lens hoarder but I love how photography offers anything for everyone. Different styles!
