Go Brenda go Brenda ....
Congrats on the gig, the first shot is great you have really caught her personality it a real happy shot well done. Also lovely processing.
The second is nice but with dogs I do like to try and get down to their eye level, just a thought.
But well done you got the gig delivered the shots and sold the prints, you pro.....lol

Confession about the dog shot...never intended it to be a shot. I was just setting my metering and on a whim kept it in the proofs. Go figure...she liked it. ;)

I am so EXCITED!!! Just went to my first proofing session with a client that "hired" me instead of me recruiting them for experience. She only wanted one shot of her and her little dog which was fine. She ordered $155 in prints of that one shot! :D

Hello, my name is Brenda and i'm a professional photographer. lol

that is awesome, wait no its not, that is very awesome!!! congrats!!

i'm good. nothing is going on. one thing for sure the school gig will come back to me.

I just traded my 135L to 100L macro as it's not doing some actions when i acquired my 70-200. So my workhorses will be the 70-200, 100L and the 50 f1.4. with the SL1+17-55 as backup.

Pretty much. Thing to remember about Vello is that they're a rebrander, not a manufacturer. Kenko is part of the Tokina-Hoya-Kenko conglomerate. That said, I just picked up a Vello wireless release from B&H (it's identical to my Pearstone that B&H used to carry) and it does work well (with Canon cameras; either the cable I got for the D300s at Garber, or the D300s' remote socket, is intermittent).

+1 on the wireless release. I'll be purchasing again.

And, one from work. More to come, on this. After I have a speedlite (getting it tomorrow). The other day's shots with Darth were with onboard flash (which is why they looked like hammered @#$@).
