If he's referring to hair and dust on the pentaprism...leave it. It will come right back, a week later, after you clean it out. You will not even see it, after a while. One of those things.

Wow, Russ. I'm so sorry for your loss. Maybe you should consider talking to a grief counselor, it bothers me that you said you have nobody to talk to about it... it helped a friend of mine after he lost his son in an accident.

Thank you, my wife is around now and it was just that I needed to vent and Facebook wasn't the place at that time, also I really trust all the contributors here, so I knew it would be a safe place to let out what was going on at that moment in time.

Sorry she had to go in such a horrible way. :(

My grandfather was killed in a similar fashion of neglect. We eventually won a large lawsuit settlement, which is about all you can do.

Your family would be wise to not spread any information about this on the internet or name the hospital or anyone involved. It can only hurt your claim against the hospital.

Thanks for the insight and I posted a vague post on FB but I'll definitely not go any further and remove that post. I only want to win the satisfaction that the place in question stop hurting people!

It is normal, no need to remove to clean, that will likely result in more dust somewhere. The focus screen has a slight grain to it, they say it helps with manual focusing somehow.

Since the camera is just a week old, I'm going to take your advice.

Russ, my condolences. I am on full-time 10-hour day, so I don't get in often and I miss things.

I hope that you and your family will get closure for this terrible tragedy.

Russ, that is terrible. Hopefully the hospital can be held accountable.

So I just fired up a Backblaze trial as my Mozy is basically out of space...and I am not that thrilled actually. It is half the price of Mozy with unlimited storage, but I can't control what it is backing up at all really. Right now it is going to try to back up 750GB! It is going to take forever...I'd rather have more control I think.

Thank you Keyan and Gerry we actually just got some amazing news the city and state coroner are involved and the state is filing a wrongful death suit on our behalf along with some other charges and there is talk that we should file civilly, so things are going in the right direction to make sure this doesn't happen in the future.

Also Vinz absolutely amazing sunset and fun shot of your friend!

Pic from Thusday's shoot. Trying to tell the story of where the family is in life. The kids are grown and off to college (oldest is off to grad school).

Very nice brenda. one thing that bothers me is i have a feeling the horizon isn't straight. i tested it in photoshop using the ruler and i confirmed. it looks like distortion though. you may correct it in LR.

Russ, the news about your aunt is heartbreakingly sad. You and your family will be in my prayers tonight.
