A little too harsh, on the right ;)

i agree stro. maybe it's about positioning my light or a bigger demb(mega demb), the bigger the softer, right?

thanks.

I forget if you have lightroom but perhaps using the Graduated Filter from right to left and lower highlights would be a quick easy way to even out the lighting

I think you have a big group of lucky friends, as they have you capturing quality images so often

Just a fun shot with friends at my son's birthday party.

Forget about the background distractions and the posings, what can you say about the light quality?

This was OCF+demb in a high lightstand camera right. 5D+50mm

Vinz, How far to the right was your flash? I've read that for groups, if using one light, the ocf should be closer to the camera. I might be off base, though.

6D's silent shutter is really great. Feel better taking shots of strangers. haha

Certainly could use some more diffusion. Perhaps repositioning the stand further back and closer center? I'm still a newbie when it comes to lighting.

Are there any guys here using the 60D with a Sigma 50-500? :) That will be my main camera/lens once I have the lens.

Thanks -- I wish she stayed there for a few seconds longer.

And I really liked your first portrait. These last few portraits from everyone have been great.
