You did a great job of walking that fine line by not over smoothing her skin. That little bit of texture gives her a nice, natural look. Really impressed with the color and detail you pulled up in her hair too.

Lol.... My friend's file is only 2048 on the long side at 72dpi. Hard to edit a small file like that.

Maybe I'm missing something here, or were you saying this tongue-in-cheek? I would think a 2048x1366 image would be big enough for most editing unless you were doing some serious pixel-peeping. And why would 72dpi make any difference? I thought dpi was only an issue when it came time to make a print. Is it a matter of working with some editing presets that are geared toward something 18MP but don't work as well on a 3MP file?

Thank you, Pekka! I'm sure some members here might have imagined that POTN might begin winding down. But that doesn't make the news any less disappointing. So generous of you to allow us to go along for the ride. As a result you gave us a way to help each other become better photographers. But there's still so much more to learn.

For my pics i always edit the biggest my camera can do. You'll never know you're client need a huge print one day. I don't want to re edit all over again to produce a big print.

Thanks Vinz... That makes perfect sense. So it was just a little tongue-in-cheek then. ;)

I apologize about this...:o

I think that for our friends who may wish to develop a business in Real Estate photography, this lens and a 70D with a mild HDR can get them way ahead in the game!

Thankfully, my day job pays better...

Hey can you take some examples at 8mm and 10mm. I'm considering requesting this for Christmas from the wife, or maybe the canon 10-22 instead since it has a rock bottom price of $529 on amazon right now.

Tough decisions, but I'd like to see the difference between the 8mm and 10mm.

I'll get to it tomorrow. In-house it's noticeable, but it's not huge!

That's the camera my mom has. I really enjoy it.

Check it out at a local best buy since they have it on display.

it can automatically sync and transfer files to my android.

this is the best thing.... you can buy a 20 dollar lens adaptor for canon ef and efs lenses..
