It would be nice to be able to use my 10stop ND, but oh well :) I'll just stick to using my 15-85 when I want to do that, which even has some vignetting when stopped down wide open using the 10stop.

Yep! Looks about right between 8 and 10.

They are making a big fuss about not taking filters but you can't use a CPL when the lens is this wide, and I am not sure I would pay what it takes for a ND...

Why can't you? ;) I use one all the time on my 14-24mm to cut glare/reflection.

It will cut light by different degrees at different angles is the way I understand it.

I find metering the light from this lens to be more difficult say than my 18-200, but I am new to it yet... Anyway, I can't put a CPL or an ND on it, so that's that...

It definitely will, but It will also let you cut reflection where you want it. It makes a huge difference in waterfall scenes and calm lakes where you want the bottom to show up. There are times to use it and times not to imo. Blue skies will polarize unevenly and make it a pain in the arse to PP.

I had to edit four shoots from last week two of which required albums and framed prints, also had a huge product shoot to finish. I needed to get all done as I have lots of shoots booked before Xmas, Sunday I'm shooting all the promo shots for a massive music festival, think models in club wear ;) can't wait. !!!!

Chad, you have a great, happy family! God bless you!

We had a lovely, quiet Thanksgiving with our son visiting from Rutgers. We really enjoyed each others company and had a great time cooking (the 3 of us, since we all do...).

Vertigo, I will put up in my MediaFire account a few full resolution photos from the 8-16. The detail is incredible! I really need a 4k (or better 16k monitor which has not been invented yet...)

Amazing thrills from a $650 zoom lens!

Thanks Gerry! I am really lucky and the pic shows why this is my favorite time of the year. Probably the only time we ask get some time all together.

Nice Vinz.. With the NX300?
