Hey can you take some examples at 8mm and 10mm. I'm considering requesting this for Christmas from the wife, or maybe the canon 10-22 instead since it has a rock bottom price of $529 on amazon right now.

Tough decisions, but I'd like to see the difference between the 8mm and 10mm.

I thought your question spawned an interesting project:

What does it look like... in the most popular prime focal lengths...

Totally ot I'm watching a program about seasick Steve, he is driving all around the south and playing some cool blues awesome stuff !!!!

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

Never heard of Seasick Steve before so figured I better check him out. What a treat. I'll be spending some time listening to more of his stuff. It's like an early Christmas present!

This ranks right up there with when I accidently stumbled upon the Beef Seeds a couple weeks ago. In case you haven't already heard them...

Thank you, Pekka! I'm sure some members here might have imagined that POTN might begin winding down. But that doesn't make the news any less disappointing. So generous of you to allow us to go along for the ride. As a result you gave us a way to help each other become better photographers. But there's still so much more to learn.

I hope all my American Friends had a great Thanksgiving.
I can appreciate how the USA makes a comparatively huge deal about it vs the Canadian version we have in October.

I do hope people can truly be thankful for what they have and what opportunities they have... many in other countries do not have such opportunity yet they can be thankful.

Unfortunately this Black Friday thing casts a material shadow over the great holiday.

So Vinz, What's your intended use for the Samsung? Was there something your current equipment wasn't doing for you?

Random news:
So on one of my shoots, it was an extended family shoot and they asked me to do a few different shots after the main shoot was done. I didn't think anything of it and just happily complied. It wasn't the best time of day but was when they all could be there. Turns out, they ordered a 16x20 of this shot:
