I live a bit down the road, I drive by the other side of the chapel every time I come back from the supermarket or dry cleaners (West Alabama Str.)

It's here! Finally! :D

Too late for any serious testing...

Impressive lack of distortion (look at the straight ceiling lines)!

No flare, shooting directly under the chandelier!

Shooting at ISO 3200, I can't tell whether the lens is soft... only with the light of day... I guess since the EF 24-70 MkII is my walk-around lens... everything else is soft!

Here is the 8 mm look!

Thanks guys! It's 37 degrees out there... I'll try to go downtown later in the day I hope!

In the meantime, all I could do last night, was around the house... The pictures are so nice, I will start considering offers for sale...

I lived in the area around Fiesta at W. Alabama/Dunlavy.

The Fiesta was gone in one weekend, I think they are building luxury apartments there. Right across Dunlavy, there is an HEB now. That's where we shop!...

Finally gave the Tamron an honest test today in a basketball game, very happy with the results from it wide open, focus is fast and accurate with the 60D for the most part.

Looks good Drew! Reasonably low ISO, good shutter speed!

Yup, the ability to shoot wide open at f/2.8 and it be sharp gives me a lot of room to drop the ISO from 3200 to 2000 (big noticeable difference for the 60D) and keep my shutter speed up. Definitely couldn't do this with my sigma and it be sharp.

Traitor! Just kidding.

It's a shame. That Fiesta employed a lot of locals. I hate HEB, anyways. I always shopped at Randall's.

Great shot! Not a fan of the watermark, but as they say...it's not my work.

Thank you, just to ask, what would you do with the watermark? Always up for some C&C!

Thanks Vinz, I was really impressed by the performance of the 60D as well. The 7D that I had couldn't even go past 1600 without looking like crap, but this has no problem at 2500 and that picture posted above doesn't have any noise reduction done to it.

Nope. Think I found my sweet spot for settings on the 60D for basketball. I would do some noise reduction if I was better with Lightroom but I haven't had time to sit down and teach myself
