If you are really bored, you could sell the 28-75 and replace with a tamron 24-70 2.8. You would not gain any speed but would gain imagestablization, usm type focus motor, and it is alot wider.

That's an idea. I have a gal coming Thursday for some studio shots. I'll keep strobes in the back of my mind as I'm using the speedlights to see if I wanna add that way.

there's a local camera/accesories trade/sell yesterday and there is an alienbees B800 for $200. The owner claims it's almost brand new. Do you think it's a good buy? is it good for a huge softbox?

i have the owner's phone number in case it won't sell.

i don't know anything about alienbees.

I use the alien bees. Snag it for that price. They are an amazing flash unit and built like tanks. You will not find anything comparable to the alien bee even at regular price from my research. I use a massive 64" PLM with the b800 and it easily lights it. I'm actually working on the lower end of the power range the unit provides.

just wondering if the YN-622C will work on alien bees. i'll go ahead in the yn622 thread and ask.

Depends on how far the light is from the subject. I rarely flash at max power and I usually shot about 1/2 power around F8. Subject distance around 4-6 feet.

Buy it Vinz if I was in the US I would have bees trouble is they are dam expensive in uk.
I'm at photo show and now want the new hasselblad and a set of broncolor lights, think I need to sell a child.....hahahA (only joking)
