Good to see you still wear a helmet after the new law was passed! Helmets save lives, end of story!

Yes, helmets save lives. That's why before I donated a kidney my recipient was on the donor registry in Michigan and Wisconsin. Michigan still had a helmet law and Wisconsin did not and therefore had more donors. :/

Family of cardinals living in a bush outside the house. Only got mama up close. Papa was perched on the trunk of my car (he's huge!) when I had to run inside and grab the camera. Needless to say, I won't be going outside smoking without my 60D again while living here (daylight hours of course)!

She just returned from getting food for the little ones. Can hear them chirping hehehe. Papa must've went to the bar. I waited for 30min and he never returned. Next time.

Great catch! ^^^ I have a cardinal that flits around my yard but have yet to catch a good shot.

So apparently if you set your camera to continuously number shots it will start over if you get to 10k. Which means that since January I have shot over 10k shots! Hokey Pete! I had my xsi for 5 years and only took 11k shots. I guess I am getting more into photography these days. :)

Thanks. I find that I actuate the shutter a lot less these days except when it's live things. Then, it's semi spray and pray. This sucker would not sit still at all. I'm lucky I got these two shots. Got a baby possum that's living in the same bush as the cardinals lol. And a squirrel or two.

Oh, I hear ya there. I have calmed down quite a bit (except when I was shooting eagles last week...that was like 400 shots!). When I first got the 60d it was basketball season so there was definitely a lot of spraying and praying. Also, my 16yo would like to see how fast the shutter was in sports mode. lol Now, I'm taking multiple shots of things just to learn what I like.

That is one happenin' bush you have in your yard! It's a zoo in there. ;)

You're telling me about the zoo! Got these also, while waiting for that damned cardinal to come home... Coincidentally, I live down the street from the (you guessed it) St Louis Zoo. Haha. That baby possum is in the same bush as the family of cardinals.
