OK, I know this little camera has been given a hard time all over the internet about it's slow AF, but I'm thinking of buying one as a secondary camera to my 5Dii.

So when this camera first came out I was dead keen on getting it, but for the first time in my life I resisted purchasing it and waited for the real life reviews came out.
Months passed as my little daughter has been keeping me very busy, the M had been put on the back burner. Then a couple of weeks ago, I picked one up at the store and I still think it's a cool little camera. So I'm in the process of saving for one, hoping to be buying in a couple of months. Although there are rumours of another version coming out mid year, I reckon it won't be till the end of this year.

Since there's not many threads on here about the M, I thought I'd start this thread to see what the M looks like in it's many forms with different lenses and we can chat about it's good and bad points (apart from the AF)

Cheers
Blair

Awesome stuff botw and Wayne! I haven't thought much about the video side. I'm also thinking of getting a 4gig eye-fi card.

Kin2son, that's a great shot of the EOS M stand. We don't have camera expo/shows here. I wish we did.

Awesome shots sneakerpimps! The lens hood and view finder look awesome!
I'll probably get the 8gig mobile eye-fi so I can feed straight to my iphone.

So far everyone has the black one, who has another colour? I had a small play with a white one and it's finish was to shiny and felt slippery to me. The red one is not availabble here in NZ. Unless you buy a parrallel imported one.

Bit of an update. I just put a deposit on the 22mm kit (includes the EF adapter) So it should be here in a week or so. Nothing like doing a bit extra overtime at work to bring it closer!

I'm sorry but this whole "big lens, little camera" thing just strikes me a silly. Using a big lens defeats the purpose of a small camera and I need something to hold onto.
