Non boot disk GPT partitioning and > 2TB partitions has been supported since Windows XP x64.

This is a very good deal. I have the 3TB of this version, and it has been running without any issues for the last 4 months.

USB 3.0 should give the same throughput as an internal SATA drive would, so external drives have basically no compromises now.

I've had this for a month and been very pleased with it as a network drive. No fan and speedy 3.0 speeds. Better price than Costco which has been the lowest I've seen to date.
