C Scott great job. Love the first shot. Did you use a filter for it?

No filters were used on the lens or in Lightroom. It was just a matter of waiting for the brightness of the sky and water to equalize.

just got a 17-40...first pics from it on the 7D

The shot of the Ferrari is literally within 400 yards of my apartment. I was hoping to have a 7D to go to the race with this weekend, but didn't pan out. Beautiful shot. When I get my 7D, we should meet up and you can show me some tricks to get great shots like these.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.
