Thanks Peter!

How do you find auto iso? Do you ever find that it goes up to unacceptable levels? I try to stay below 800.

Where are you selecting EC from? Back lcd on the camera, or a menu item? I've never used it. I always thought it only pertained to flash use. :o

I set through LCD. I am always in 400 ISO I just adapted that auto iso recently and through the advised of another potn member to used EC and spot metering if the background is bright.

I am liking auto ISO I will stay with it for a while, so far so good. My last outing I used it I am upto 1200 ISO even higher from some shots I do process it with Lightroom 4 and I bought recently nik software complete package and I am still learning to use it. I find noise reduction dfine2 is a good tool.

Superb shot, rounder! What lens was this with? It would have been even better if you had centered her a bit more (rule of thirds) and not cut her shoulder off.

Gear List

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Thanks! It is the 35mm F2 IS. Just got the lens, and love it!

This shot is wide open, and isn't even the sharpest one of the bunch. :D

Very nice! What kind of work flow are you using to get the dynamic range? Multiple shots / HDR techniques?
