Decided to see what all the Bird hype is about.....first time shooting Birds, Only lens I have with decent reach is my 28-135

Awesome!! That shows why the 400mmL is the BIF lens. Superb IQ and lighting fast AF. I have one....LOL! Im just learning BIF and hope to get half as good as these.

Great series Troy, I faves those in your flikr account recently. Awesome pictures there. You must be really close to those Eagles. I am planning to visit my relatives in Chicago next winter and planning to stop by L&D are you near that Dam? I am curious to see the guy tossing fish to the Eagles someone told me they accept a small donation and it is legal to feed the eagle in that side of the Dam. They say about 5-6 hrs drive from Chicago, Planning to go early January next year. In the bird thread they are posting amazing images from LD14 and LD15.
