Brain Mechanic,

I like the light. Where were you? Was it window light? My college photo instructor tried to buy a Vivitar macro lens from a student one night but he couldn't make the deal. Photos from the lens were incredible.

Thanks for sharing...

Thanks Charlie. It was flash with home made diffuser. The Vivitar is an awesome lens.

Works well Brain Mechanic. What material did you use if I can ask? Was the flash off camera?

Like the effect...

Something new again from me: Landscapes.

Whilst my PP might be a bit wild (Lightroom), I did try to consider either lead-in lines or foreground interest:

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

With a bracket off camera, made a cheap diffuser out of some translucent plastic bottle.

Thanks Oscar. Sounds like you had the same idea as the Stofen Omni-Bounce flash diffuser http://www.amazon.com …on-diffuser/dp/B000CLNHXY (external link) Loved the result.

Cheers guys. I wondered if I'd overdone the processing, but I do think it is a striking image. I think it will be going on the wall :D
