SigmaSigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM IF Issues

I am thinking of buying a used Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM IF lens for my Canon cameras. I am told that the lens misses the exposure every 10 or so shots. Has anyone with this lens ever heard of this. The seller is uses a Canon Rebel which he has to reset by turning off the camera and turning it back on to fix the issue.

if it's the one in sausalito, where the guy's including an 18-55IS as well...it seems like it's at least worth a shot...it's so cheap...

i'd bring a camera and see if it does it while you are using it...if it's an error code, it may be a problem...but again, at the price and if he does in fact include the 18-55IS lens, it's pretty much free...
