I rather keep the 24-105 and 135L and sell the rest.

this probably makes the most sense. I'de keep the pancake as well, and can use that instead of the 24-105 or 50L tbh.

Since the 24-105 has IS which is useful for some video work. and I'm strobing indoor anyway so F4 is not a problem. I guessed it's also a good suggestion especially that I have the sharpest copy of the 24-105.

the subject isolation of the prime lens like the 50L is just priceless though.

thanks Tommy.

Also consider value, right now 24-105's are so cheap and since your using lights I see no reason to sell the 24-105. It would seem to be your most valuable lens. That being said the 50 and 135 are outstanding lenses and both complement the 24-105. They don't replace it.

-Edit - If the choice is one or the other ( 50 or 135 ) I would probably keep the 50 since it's more practical.

like i said the subject isolation on wide open shots of prime is priceless.

useful when you can't use flash.

Scott and Jacosta Thanks.

Kevindar... I no longer want to pursue the business side of photography that's why I'm planning to get rid of all other lens but 1.

Moltengold.... I'm thinking I may get some friends request of a portrait and for that I thought at least the 50 FL has less distortion than the 50L, am i wrong?

are you keeping the 85 1.8 as well?
IMO it's a great lens that balances between the 50 and 135 FL
but if you can keep only one lens, keep the 50 as it will be more useful especially in tight places.

I'm a 50/135 shooter as well and to be honest it gets my portrait shots done but if I had to keep only one, I would keep the 135L.. only because I have an M6 with 50mm and a X100s with 35mm :p

if the 85L is not ridiculously priced, the decision is easy... 85 it is. but canon sucks on pricing it.

50L purely from the FL point of view. I know some do not like it but for me personally the 50 FL is just perfect. My copy on the 5D3 is very sharp at it's center at f1.2 and gets better stopped down. To me sharpness alone does not make the lens but the unique characteristic of the images it provides does. Saying that the 135L is amazing too. Perhaps one day I will get it again.

FYI I sold the 135L for the 85L. Then it (85) too went for the 50/100 combo.
