Hi

I am hoping someone has encountered this/ has an idea. I have two 1d mark ii bodies and the autofocus on both has stopped its not the lenses as they work perfectly on a different EOS body - however it seems too much of acoincidence that both have stopped. Neither have seen much use for a while and I was pulling them out to try to sell so am mystified why AF has stopped on both - am i missing something ?

Thank you

You have not left the lens in MF mode have you?

Sounds silly, but then I'm doing daft things like that all the time!

I would reset the camera to make sure custom function settings not changing something. But since you mention 2 cameras it is hard to belive both stopped AF.

Odd issue...Just to be precise, when you say that "autofocus has stopped" do you mean:

1.) Absolutely nothing happens when you attempt to focus(no focus motor, no IS, etc.)?(I'm assuming that this is the case)

2.) AF starts but the lens "hunts" and will not lock focus?

or

3.) AF locks but locks onto something other than what you want it to lock onto?
