I haven't posted for quite a while I'm ashamed to say. Not much time for photography plus the weather here was just useless. Anyways, I had an old Hard disk drive knocking about so I opened it up to take a few shots. These are mostly all hand held ISO 1600 and higher (last 3 images the exception). Colours on the platter are provided courtesy of the Windows 7 Lock screen :)

All 100 F2.8L

1/13th @ F4, ISO 1600

1/8th @ F4, ISO 1600

1/25th @ F2.8, ISO 2500 <<Love the 7D's ISO Control

1/10th @ F4, ISO 1600

This one is taken at my normal exposure settings of 1/200th, @ F11, ISO 200 and lit with flash at I believe 1/4 power.

100% Crop

...and in a totally unrelated splash of colour, some frozen summer fruits that I'd taken out to thaw.

Hehe, thanks again :). KC, the berries were very nice although I chopped up a banana and added that to the bowl. No cream I'm afraid. Part of my low carb diet ;)

Yeah that ISO 2500 worked very well.

Nice set Ian. You are not the only one restricted by the weather.

Interesting set, Ian. I really like the fruits thawing out a great deal.

Thanks Brian, Andy :)

Haha, well I normally do shoot bugs but I think Brian has them on well paid retainer fees as my garden is completely barren of insect life. However, there's so much that can be photographed around the home that oft goes unnoticed. I'd hoped to get the drive open, it was being a bit of a stubborn one.

I want to re-take a few but the next time on tripod and lower ISO (100) for an even sharper image.
