The policy insures against theft, damage and even if you left it in a cab. I just got mine 6 months ago. You may want to do a search on this on the forum as that is where I heard about it. My girls son plays baseball and a teammates father was an agent. That made it easy as I asked him and eventually went forward with it. The other insurance companies don't have what SF does.
