Kinda slow, isn't it? I have been sticking to 90MB/s cards... not sure if that is overkill or not though.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Definitely not as cheap as the ones you posted... I think the Kingston 90MB/sec 16 GB card is about 27 bucks, which is cheaper than the 32 or so that I paid about 4 months ago...

like i said these are good for backups if you find yourself out of memory and need something cheap to get you buy or to store stuff on, they are cheap enough. but yes faster is better but if your camera cant keep up with a 90x its just a waste but the newer camera tech is catching up.

They work great for video in the 5D II; that is what I use for my productions.

I wonder if the video editors on The Titanic ever went, "Sorry, I can't right now. I'm busy synching the Titanic..."

Would this be ok in a 7d shooting at 8fps?

Until you hit the buffer, then you're going to need to wait a while. So it largely depends on your file format and size. On my 7D one of the 16GB 266x card is find for causal shooting but is a last resort for sports shooting because I prefer to shoot in the full 18MP RAW, so I see a major difference in the rate the buffer is cleared going to Lexar 1000x and 800x cards. Though I have been known to put the camera into small jpeg and shoot warmups with this.

I've not had an issue but I've used the. As backup cards and the time after the buffer fills is a little slower but not horribly so but it is slower.

what is the practical use of a 90mb/s card?
