Hi All,

I have posted a few of these shots in other sharing threads, but I am really trying to improve my photography so I am posting here as well. The shots have gotten positive comments but I am hoping to learn what you like/don't like and what could be improved. I cropped and/or adjusted them in DPP to how I liked them, but without specific reasons behind the processing.

Some you will see that the colors are different in some. Some I have clicked the white balance. Others are shot settings.

Thanks

I love the first and second one... there is a lot going on, and it is interesting to look at!

With the first one, I wish it had slightly more definition in the silhouette of the building in the back (furthest one away) and that it was a tad more sharp (?) - the waves in particular might have benefited from more sharpness or clarity in crashing against the structure... but awesome place to shoot and great shot!

Second one - LOVE! Great color / contrast / clarity -- its perfect!! I might think about cropping a tad off the left but not even sure if that would be better or not... just imagining as a try and see option. :D

Third one I'm not sure on.. not sure how'd I change it either... but interesting place! Where IS this!?

Thank you for your comments. It is in Grand Haven, Mi...my hometown. I am blessed to live is such a beautiful location. :)

I sharpened the first one a bit. Funny you should mention that! I thought I had gone through and sharpened all of them a bit but I missed that one completely. Let me know what you think.

That's a great time to shoot & you have nice colors. In #s 1 & 2, it looks like the light is leaning toward the right a little.

Great photographs!

#1 picture: ground is a bit distracting. there was a lot of colour/drama in the sky. would have frame the sky more.

#2 picture: is great! lots of drama

#3 picture: didn't find too interesting.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the feedback.

Is this a better shot of the sky framing that you mention for #1?
