Well, as a follow up to this post - https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1284484 - where I could only get a close in shot of this chap, I have been back and he decided to play ball, these shots being the result.
I'm still trying to hone my Osprey shots, I am after him swooping for fish, winds furled whilst landing (I have a host of poses I'm after from him) and I'll keep going till I get them.
The nice thing is that he's getting very friendly now, I can pretty much sit beside him and he just gives me a glance and then sits happily there (only worked this out as he landed right by my camera bag - I left it at the end of a jetty - and I needed a new CF card, so I slowly and respectfully walked up to him, chatting to him as I moved slowly of course, and he was totally fine about it).
The feeling of being at one with such a majestic wild bird is something I'll never tire of or take for granted.
Anyhow, less of the spiel, on with the shots.....
