Northern Lights with question

Hi there, a work colleague of mine has just been on a trip to Norway where he took these nice photos of the Northern Lights on his 650D.

Possibly lens flare???

Looks like he caught a sprite! Some have been photographed from space and others down here but those have been few and far between.

we think satellites is the most likely explanation.

Satellites or maybe something else . Easily seen in Norway or Northern Sweden. Hope he enjoyed Norway.

Meteors or satellites? Something moving in a straight line across the frame anyway! I've just returned from Iceland and quite a few of my photos of the "lights" have these lines

they have moved towards the trees. I would say satellites. Possible 2 planes with lights on. Lens flare would not put them in the same spot with that much of a change in frame. I think sprites are only over powerful thunderstorms only last 1/1000's of seconds and are huge, not streaks.
