Juvenile male Great Grey Owl

I haven't posted any photos in a while and I've never photographed an Owl in the wild before yesterday.
This is the infamous juvenile male Great Grey Owl from central Wisconsin. He seems to be doing ok. He certainly didn't seem to be concerned about the half dozen vehicles parked along side of the road although he never got closer than about 50 yards. Most of the time he was perched.
These were both shot with the 1DMKIV and 500mm f/4L at 1/3200 sec., f/7.1 and ISO 500.

As far I as could tell he did not kill anything. He sat there for a few minutes and then flew to a nearby tree.

Awesome, really bummed I never got one in flight when I had my GGO encounter.
