Hi and thanks in advance for any assistance.
I received a Dell U2410 yesterday.
Out of the box it is very bright. I started to calibrate it using a Spyder4 Pro but I've run into a bit of a snag.

The Spyder recommends a brightness level of 120cd/m. The 2410 has a default of 248.5 cd/m. Even when setting the brightness level to zero the closest I can get to the 120cd/m range is 138cd/m unless I start adjusting the contrast level. If I adjust both the contrast and brightness levels I am able to get to the recommended 120cd/m target however I do not know if this is the correct thing to do.

Am I better off doing the calibration with the brightness set to zero and the screen at 138cd/m or should I find a combination of brightness and contrast that gives me the target brightness of 120cd/m?

I'm inclined to adjust both so that my prints are closer to what I see on the screen.

Thanks

Ed
