Just purchased a T3 and I have found out there is no sensor cleaning option. I understand that most dslr's have this option and when activated it gives you access to the sensor to clean it. I have searched youtube and on here on how to clean the T3 sensor and have not had any luck. Can someone help me out on this please? I am having spots show up in most of my photos. Thanks!

I'd have another look through your user manual or scroll through the menu options again.

Either that, or guard that camera very closely because it will be a rare one.

Page 173 of the manual (external link) has instructions on how to manually clean the sensor. Try using a rocket blower to get small dust particles off. If there are smudges, then you should send it to be cleaned unless you want to try using a wet method.

I realize it shows that option in the pdf file you sent and it's even in the user manual that came with the camer, however, the t3 1100d does not have the option to "clean manually". It's just not there. I have heard a few other people complain about this online too. I am not sure if that user manual is for both the t3 and t3i, but I only have 2 wrench icons on my camera vs the 3 that's shown in the user manual you linked and that I have. I am really stumped

Thanks for trying, but I think I have a defective camera. My t3 1100d only has 2 wrench icons and I absolutely do not have the option to "clean manually" as it shows above. Do any of you guys have the 1100d t3??

Try setting the camera to manual mode (M) and see if you have more "wrenches" in the menu.

Hi!
I am about to clean the sensor of my camera; I see the manual is exactly the same as mine in portuguese, still i have a doubt, that is:
After step 3 "Clean the sensor", how do I "tell" the camera that I've finished the cleaning? Is there any information on the LCD so I can switch OFF the power?
Sorry the 'dumb'questions but I'm still a newbie.
Thank you very much!

You don't have to "tell" the camera when you're done, just remove all cleaning supplies from the camera and turn it off. The shutter will close and the mirror will flip back down.
