It may seem like I have a solid lens setup but I feel like I am missing something still and am not fully satisfied. It could be the canon acquisition syndrome I have but that's another story:o Would you guys add anything to my current gear lineup? Help me be happy! :)

A few zooms is what I'd add, but I'm not a prime shooter :)

I use f4 zooms and primes.

I think you just need to see if you want something longer or shorter, or more convenient.

What sort of budget are we talking here? Your gear list suggests it's not much of a concern, but ...

I'd say to take a critical look at your photos, and evaluate days out in the field critically ... do you feel like what you have is either too long or too short for what you want?

A 50mm is never a bad bet, and Canon has excellent ones, both with and without the ring ...

As-is, though, you have a fantastic lineup and you seem to use it quite well. If I were in your shoes, I'd be happy with what I've got.

Some clicking occurred, a few lenses were involved, that's about all I know ...

Well, it's only you that can answer your question. I would personally add a zoom to it, but if do not feel the need for that, then why to change/add anything at all?

I like your setup. I am working towards a similar setup. I want to end up with the 24L, Sigma 50, Sigma 105 Macro, and Canon 135L.

I am killing myself trying to decide what to get right now. I feel like I have finally settled on the 135. My reasoning is that I feel like I will use that a lot, and I rarely use my 70-200 now because of the size. So, if I have the 135, I can replace the 135, and I will eventually replace the 20-35 I have with the 24.

Anyway. To answer your question. A macro lens. Maybe something like the Sigma 105 or 180?

Any reason I should not buy the 135 first? (Sorry...not trying to hijack the thread)

Thanks guys appreciate the feedback so far.

@aduda- Id say get the 24L if you need a sharp wide angle at the moment. Your long end is covered currently with your sigma 105mm but i feel the canon 135L just shines :)

I have my Canon 18-55 and Sig 85 1.4 in my daughters paws currently So I took a look at Adoramas offerings and acquired the Sig 18-250mm macro to fill the gap till she returns them. You have a nice grouping right now. I don't have one L lens to my name yet.

I own 0 L lenses but I am looking at grabbing a 70-200 F4l to replace mu 70-210 F4. If nothing else purely for AF speed and it'll probably be sharper at F4 than my current lens is (not to say my current lens is bad by any means). With your lineup you seem pretty much set for any scenario. With that said a 50mm is never a bad bet to stick in the bag. Another great option is the new 40mm 2.8 pancake. Absolutely beautiful IQ and if you're shooting macro (MFD 1 foot) with it it's bokeh is wonderful. For my money it's one of the best non L lenses in the Canon lineup.

The focus should be on images, not gear. Instead of asking yourself "what lens am I missing", you could think about what types of images you are wanting to make, but are unable to create due to a "missing" piece of gear.

If you told us what types of images you are trying to make, then we would be much better equipped to advise you by making a lens recommendation. Without having detailed information about your "vision" and subject matter, it is impossible to make an informed suggestion. Provide some details, and maybe we can help you.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

I think a 70-200is 2.8 II should be on the list. It seems your not much of a zoomed though. Have you got a flash? I'd assume so with your other gear but you never know.

Maybe a tilt shift lens?

You'd be much happier with a 800/5.6 lens. ;)
