No crop, but some simple adjustments in DPP for #1. #2 is a B&W conversion of course. 35mm, 1/60, F/3.2, ISO100.

I love the B&W shot. Very nice. The bokeh is nice. I could have even asked for a little more. I can't wait to get that lens. How do you like it?

CJ - I only have a couple hundred clicks on it, but I love it already. In the $200 range, you can't go wrong. It's my one and only lens right now, but I can see myself continuing to use it heavily even as I expand the kit.

I feel that way about my 2 lenses. But my 10-22mm is too wide sometimes. Going to get the 35mm f/2 and the 50mm f/1.4 to round out my options.

I too would lean toward the color the warmth draws me in the black and white seems a bit too contrasty for me and bit on the cold side.
