Well I'm hoping for a smaller ass with big MP count. ;)

Anyways, this rumor is pretty much in line with the predictions from that japanese photo magazine. http://photorumors.com …era-predictions-for-2013/ (external link)

I'm thinking it will be gripped because, A) they would charge more for it, and B) They already released two non-gripped FF cameras.

You can never predict with canon, they just announce two new rebels instead of just one.

Am hoping this is true... if they've fixed the DR/pattern noise problem, I'll buy two! If it's 50+ megapixels, it'll also be an ideal wildlife camera, not just landscape/studio.

Make sure those are hundred dollar bills.
You'll be needing 40 to 70 of them... ;)

Think new Canon lenses are overpriced? Lots (and lots) of data will set you free!

lol!

I usually prefer big ones! But yeah, when it comes to my cameras, smaller is definitely nicer.

They've had two Rebel models since 2008, so that's not really a surprise or out of the ordinary.

Provided it comfortably beats the low ISO, low noise, high DR of the D800 and D800E without breaking the bank then I'm in.

I want the 1Ds range back! Forget these excessive ISO's and video.

Rebel releases per year (considering the M as an "honorary" Rebel ;))

Hard drives are cheap enough these days, unlike the new camera, which will no doubt be waaay more expensive than the Nikon D800E.

Well, then it's got to be waaay better than the Nikon D800E -- otherwise the D800E (which will probably be even cheaper at that time) will be still an option to think about.
