Just got back from a month long birding/golfing trip from Asia, These Eagle in Hokkaido of Japan is definitely the highlight of the trip.

Temperature there at the northern-most tip of Japan was around -7 to -10 degree C in the morning with wind speed at 20-30 mph on the top deck of a "Drift Ice Tour" boat is not for the faint of heart. But for us Canadians...it was just a breeze....:)

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Just amazing shots. The first is my favorite, almost dream-like in a cloud rather than snow and ice! You are one brave sole to brave those conditions...well done indeed!

Beautiful and stunning shots of the Eagles. I really like the pics included of the boat showing where and how the pics were taken, this is so interesting.
