Another yes. BBF will activate IS (provided the switch on the lens is on).

Nuance to your question, however, is whether you assign AF-ON to the shutter and AF-Lock to the back button. If AF-ON is assigned to the shutter, then the shutter turns on IS. If no AF function is assigned to the shutter but is assigned to the back button, then only back button will activate IS. halitime wrote in post #15758519 Turns on with back and shutter buttons but there is no point in pressing the shutter button before focusing. Unless you use it for AE lock. Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.
