I wanted to know what is the optimal f stop and the distance that one should set on this lens for the best performance on 7D body (and also on 5D3. I know 5D3 will yield a circle..)

Please advice..

If your Rokinon 8mm doesn't have a removable lens hood, the image circle isn't quite a circle. It looks like you're shooting from inside an alligator's mouth. But considering the cost of the lens, it's not so bad.

I haven't figured out any optimal anything with the lens so am interested in this thread's comments.

Can't go wrong with this setting on this lens.

Mine is the one with removable hood... I specifically bought that as I wanted to use it on FF body as well..
