Double image with flash

I don't think it's that simple, I manage to shoot at 1/60th with flash and I don't get motion blur or double exposures. The problem I see is when people are setting the camera up to expose for ambient and then adding flash. Iso 6400 and flash? Sounds like the iso was more the issue than the shutter speed.

1/60th, with bounced flash as the main light on the subject:

Thanks for your replies. It was a favour for a friend not a pro job.
There's many good pics. But I'll post a blurred one tomorrow & read the advice.
It was OK in full auto. It's a shame there no full auto without the multi AF point focussing.
Meantime no one's given possible explanation why my camera sometimes takes burst shots even though one shot is selected?
I just tried it again with no flash attached showing it's not not to do with the flash. I set Av & it's taking burst shots if I hold the expose button down even though 'one shot' is selected !

I didn't see this particular question earlier, but that would be because "One Shot" is a focus mode and has nothing to do with whether or not you fire a burst; single or burst shooting is a function of Drive Mode. You have either low or high speed drive set for your drive mode, which will continue to rap off shots as long as the button's held down.

Do you always use full auto (the green square symbol) when using flash indoors when more than flash fill is needed ?
Problem then is that multi point AF mode. Two of my shots are out of focus when I used full auto because when I photographed the couple close up, the camera focused on someone in the distance. Hence I prefer centre point AF. Muti AF is too random. Is there a way to avoid the double images with flash & not have to tolerate full auto multi AF point ?

You do know that you can select the individual AF points, you don't have to choose between "center point" or "random".
BTW: you'll find that most of us use Av or M. Personally I prefer to shoot in M with the flash set to ETTL.
