I had not heard of it, it looks like it's been available for a few months, but I guess it hasn't gotten a lot of "traction"...

I did a quick check on google and didn't see any "external" reviews, although I may have missed some.

I dunno. There doesn't seem to be many secrets hiding inside even the latest version of DPP. I've been using it for years. I just isn't all that deep.

There is stuff in there that occasional users might likely miss, like Compositing, ALO, DLO and HDR modes, but their usage is explained in the accompanying PDF files.

I have not personally read this e-book. I know Arash is proficient with DPP particularly NR and touts the DLO feature. It was my understanding that Artie used ACR unless he recently switched.

Well, you can look at Morris's blog -- back in October of '12 he came out pretty strongly in support of DPP (thanks to some "pointers" by Hazeghi). In fact, he said that those pointers actually led to the e-book -- he basically wrote up all the stuff he was "fed".
