no matter what software i use to print it seems to crop bits of the photo top and bottom
its not a lot but enought to notice against the original.
any ideas

More specifically, the image you intend to print needs to be cropped to the same aspect ratio (width/height) as the print size selected. If the ratios don't match, something is going to get cropped.
