I have three old Schneider Componon enlarging lenses (75,105 & 150) that I'd like to use for macro and copy work. I need either a bellows or a helical extension tube for my 50D. Anyone know where to find one. I found one bellows unit but it was $900. I need to get by on much less.

I can't help with this, but it would be cool to see some pics if you manage to find the parts you need.....

I'm thinking now that the best approach is to get an EF to Nikon F adapter then a Nikon mount bellows with a Nikon to 39mm screw mount adapter. I can find all of these but I just wonder about vignetting when going down to the 39mm. It's going to be interesting.

You can get an adapter for the Olympus OM 65-116mm telescopic tube and then adapters from the tube to your enlarger lenses.

How do you like the componons? I have an el-nikkor 50mm and I use it with an M42 helical extension tube. Ebay would be your best bet for M42 tubes and the Olympus I mentioned.

After a good deal of searching around, I've come to the conclusion that I need to find a used helical extension tube in whatever mount I can. I can find plenty of cheap bellows units but I'm concerned that they might cause dust to get inside the camera. I am, however, intrigued with the idea of rear focusing that the bellows might make possible. If it find one with tilt/shift, I just might change my mind about the dust.

In the meantime,I've found a 55mm reversing ring that will let me use my old FD 50 1.4. I've always liked that lens and it will be nice to use it again.
